This place has such a rich history—with tales of F. Scott Fitzgerald and a hidden speakeasy! I took a tour and it was fascinating seeing the grand foyer and those oversized towels in the room.

gorgeous hotel with a few quirks
The ambiance is delightful, and the hotel feels both modern and historic. The staff provided personalized service that made us feel genuinely welcome.
We did experience some minor noise from the street, which was surprising for such an upscale venue.

The room was comfortable, but the elevator access was confusing.

Had an epic breakfast experience with some seriously indulgent pastries at the bar! The location was spot on, smack in the heart of Louisville's nightlife. Plus, the staff? Totally top-notch, especially the friendly valet team who were eager to help with my car and bags.
Check-in was a bit of a mess—no eye contact or info about using the elevator key, which had my husband and me running around! And while my room was cozy, it felt tight for two, with a rather underwhelming view. Could've been a bit smoother overall.

Historic Charm with Room for Improvement
The hotel radiates historical charm with beautiful decor and a vibrant atmosphere. Loved my mornings enjoying the light breakfast options, though seating was lacking. Friendly staff answered my questions about local sights, but be mindful of outside noise on weekends. Consider requesting a room away from the music for a better sleep.

missingWrote a review on May 05historic lobbycharming atmosphereseparate seatingpoor drainage
This place boasts a stunning historic lobby that feels like a scene out of a F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, complete with exquisite chandeliers and charming architectural details. The Junior King Suite came with a separate seating area, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring nearby nightlife.
Parking is a bit of a maze. it took a while to figure out where to go, especially with the lack of clear signage. The shower drain in the bathroom seemed an afterthought, leaving a perpetually wet floor, which wasn’t ideal for maintaining cleanliness. Although the Rathskeller bar exuded unique historic charm, the persistent smell of fish detracted from the experience, making it hard to enjoy a drink in peace.

It was just a fine choice for a passing visit in Louisville with outstanding value. The bar smelled of fish which made our drinks less enjoyable. For better service, maybe check out a different place nearby.
